At the 2014 SPARC Symposium in April, MPP Laurie Scott announced funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation for $105,400 for SPARC through the Haliburton County Community Co-operative. This funding gave SPARC the opportunity to explore the formation of a network by providing financial support for a one-year network coordinator position, a Network Summit and a dynamic online communication platform.

The Haliburton County Community Co-operative then collaborated with partner the Arts Council ~ Haliburton Highlands to provide administrative support and office space to house the SPARC Network.
