The Canadian Improv Showcase is a professional, touring, comedy improv troupe that specializes in highly interactive performances and workshops that showcase some of Canada's brightest talent.
They take the short-form or game-style improv format made popular by “Whose Line is it Anyway?” to the next level by utilizing the audience more than any other group. Every scene involves at least one suggestion, interaction or a chance to join the performers on stage in some capacity – yet they never pick on the audience. Not in more than 28 years and over 800 performances worldwide. It's just not their style.
They are more than happy to work with each individual venue to meet the needs of the local theatre and their technical requirements are very small making them an easy production to mount, even on relatively short notice.
