Highway 61 – The Journey of the Blues is a unique musical collage incorporating live music, narration and digital projection telling the stories of the Delta musicians and the Blues they brought with them up the Mississippi along Highway 61 to Chicago and beyond. The Delta Blues – raw and uncomplicated.
That’s what came north to Chicago. Where it became electrified, and electrifying. And recorded the way it was played live— loud and intense. Amps ran hot and distorted, just like on stage. The music came from the Delta, but in Chicago it was loud enough for the world to hear.
