Can we adopt many mothers and grandmothers to bestow valuable bits of identity? Woven together with the memory of objects, and then lost beneath the weight of it all, the mess, the prison, the isolation: Motherhood transforms. And when we emerge, transformed, can we connect to the beauty and total wonder of life in this brief moment we are here on Earth?
